Lanarkshire Carers Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Lanarkshire Carers Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Wednesday 27 September 2023.

Full members in attendance at our AGM were welcomed by Samar Sheikh, Chairperson at Lanarkshire Carers. Following the presentation of our formal agenda items, full members heard about the work of Lanarkshire Carers during the operational year from April 2022 to March 2023. Group discussions took place during the day; sharing ideas, strengths and skills that help carers to participate as a Full Member.  This feedback will be reviewed and any associated activity will be shared with full members at a later date.

Special thanks go to North Lanarkshire Council's Technology Enabled Care team, who displayed the range of technology-enabled care options available to carers in Lanarkshire during our AGM and also to Lanarkshire Community Food and Health Partnership for supplying and distributing food packs to everyone who participated.

Excellence for Carers

We are delighted to announce that Lanarkshire Carers has successfully achieved the Carers Trust Excellence for Carers Award.

The award follows a rigorous assessment of Lanarkshire Carers services to unpaid carers across both local authority areas, as well as the quality of our leadership, staff, internal processes and engagement with key local partners and stakeholders.
